Connecting a store
A WooCommerce site connects to a PlusWase store in three steps, all done by the store owner.
Requirements
- WordPress 6.4 or later, WooCommerce 8.0 or later, PHP 8.1 or later.
- Pretty permalinks (Settings → Permalinks, anything but Plain).
- The store currency set to United States (US) dollar.
- The site served over HTTPS on the domain entered in PlusWase.
1. Link the plugin
- In PlusWase, open Sales channels → Connect a channel → WooCommerce and enter the site's domain. Include the folder if WordPress lives in one, such as
mystore.com/shop. - Download the PlusWase Hub plugin from the connection's setup page and install it (Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin).
- Copy the Connection code, open Settings → PlusWase Hub in WordPress, paste it and press Connect to PlusWase. The plugin checks the code with
GET /storebefore saving it. - Back in PlusWase, press Re-check: the setup page shows the plugin and WooCommerce versions it reported.
The Connection code is PLWC1. followed by base64 JSON:
{ "v": 1, "b": "https://api.pluswase.com/api/v1", "k": "plw_live_…", "s": "…" }
b is the API base, k the API key, s the shared secret that signs webhooks.
Setting the connection in wp-config.php
Hosts that manage sites from code can define the values instead. Any of these constants locks the settings page.
define('PLW_API_BASE', 'https://api.pluswase.com/api/v1');
define('PLW_API_KEY', 'plw_live_…');
define('PLW_SHARED_SECRET', '…');
2. Verify the SEO image domain
Catalog photos are served from a subdomain of the store, so search engines see them as the store's own. In PlusWase, add the image domain (for example img.mystore.com) and create the DNS record the setup page shows:
| Type | Name | Value |
|---|---|---|
CNAME | img.mystore.com | <connection id>.media.pluswase.com |
The value is unique to the connection, which is how PlusWase knows the domain belongs to it. On Cloudflare, set the record to DNS only (grey cloud). Then press Verify: PlusWase checks the record and the edge issues the certificate. Until then, photos come from PlusWase's storage address.
3. Connect
Press Connect. PlusWase sends a signed challenge to https://<domain>/wp-json/plw/v1/verify, and only the plugin holding this connection's shared secret on that domain can answer it. A domain belongs to a store only once it is connected.
Keys
The owner can rotate the key (the old one stops at once; paste the new Connection code), revoke it (the plugin stops loading the catalog), or delete the connection when no order references it.
